I hope to spend my summer making multimedia installation works, including audio, embroidery, and pioneering sculptures, that engage with the Supreme Court's role in the portrayals of LGBTQ+ peoples in American society. Looking directly to the Supreme Court's decision in the case of Boy Scouts of America v. Dale, 530 U.S. 640 (2000), I intend on creating works that engage with the notion of "morally straight." As a career scout, this is my way of questioning the greater judicial institutions of the American government and the feminization of traditional handcraft work.
