Session 3
Rae Matagora is an illustrator, screen printer and designer from Eugene, Oregon. After a successful career in the graphic design world, Rae began to pursue creating art through a variety of mediums; the preferred being the tactile methods of screen printing, acrylic paint and pens. As a member of the BIPOC community, Rae illustrates people and characters that celebrate our differences, and she often uses visual metaphors to show that a diverse society should be celebrated. Her artwork is inspired by joyous movement and the cheekiness of life. Through bold colors and simple shapes, she aims to build a world in which the weird, whacky and adventurous are celebrated.
