I am an art student at the University of Georgia. My current focus in art is directed toward oil painting. My main draw to the painting practice is the meditative aspect of getting lost in a piece. I also simply like looking at art. I have fairly strong opinions on aesthetics and enjoy pushing myself to create something that I believe adds beauty to the world. I have always found color to be the primary component of my work. When I am painting I like to look for the connections in color, shapes, my life experiences, and my surrounding environments. This summer I am hoping to continue studying abstraction and considering the subject matter in my paintings.
