Travis Russ is a playwright and the founding Artistic Director of Life Jacket Theatre Company based in New York City.

His work focuses on telling undertold stories—those that are erased, rejected and forgotten. He builds his shows using documentary materials, interview transcripts, and found texts to create highly theatrical, visually inventive, and lyrically-rich experiences.
